| Ficus-Stone Landscape Scene with Fishing Pole (ficus compacta)
- The rocks selected for this unusual arrangement are imported and washed in acid, making them strikingly unique. We then cut and cement the rocks to one side of the pot, leaving an ample well between them to hold water. A ceramic bridge is cemented to the rocks on either side. A miniature, glazed mud figurine which overlooks the water is also added and cemented in place. To complete the scene, a pagoda figurine is cemented to the stone located above the bridge. - Figs are naturally a mediterranean fruit tree but the American Brown Turkey Fig is prized and refers to the color of its large ripe pear-shaped fruit which has a purple-brown skin with ruby red or garnet flesh that is very sweet and succulent. Delicious when grown fresh and very popular as dried. This sun loving tree is capable of producing up to 3 crops of their fruits per year. Figs do not need pollinating to produce fruits and fruit on the previous years growth.
